According to the ISNA (Iranian Students News Agency’s ) report in Fars region and report published by Public Relations of Fars Zurkhaneh Sports Board , in the joint meeting  with International Zurkhaneh Sports Executive Board ,The Association For International Sport For All, Fars Province Board of Pahlevani & Zurkhaneh Sports and Shiraz University authorities and Dignitaries , His Excellency Dr.Mohsen Mehralizadeh  expressed the international and national objectives as two main goal and target of this symposium pointing out to the special position of Shiraz University as an international university and general fortune and prosperity of the Iranian students to continue studying in this university the reason for choosing Shiraz University for the purpose of developing and boosting  the joint cooperation and interactions and with respect to the executive operation of establishing a Zurkhenh in this university stated that :  As Iranians We are proud and honored that we are the establisher and founder of this International Federation and during the past 12 years we have made our best efforts and endeavors for the development and expansion of this federation and sport as well .

Dr.Mehralizadeh declared historical background of Iranians and Persians as a precious and valuable honor by expressing the fact that Shiraz and Persepolis  (knows as Parseh or Takhte- Jamshid) both are indicative of glory , greatness and splendor of Iranians ,he added that auspicious and blessed combination of Islam teachings and Persian culture is well manifested in the Zurkhaneh Sports .

He also considered Zurkhaneh and Pahlavani ( Heroic ) Sports as a collection of music , bodybuilding , poem , moral and educational  teachings  adding that in the form of a lovely and elegant sport ,this collection gives rise to the simultaneous breeding  , nurturing and training the body and soul of human being .

Shiraz university Deputy also took part in this meeting and enumerated paying much attention to sport , providing conditions for the development of sport activities and physical movements and motivating students to do sport exercises as the priorities of this university . Seyed Ali Akbar Safavi declared Shiraz University the first international university in Iran adding that after  many years of establishment of this university , Professors would teach the lessons in English Language . He also stated paying attention to mental and physical health of students as the main concerns of this university as well and pointing out that one of the most important social constituents and components is to take sport into consideration which will lead to the healthiness , freshness , joy and mirth among different classes of people in society particularly youths and young generation .

By pointing to the commencement of executive operation of inauguration and establishment of a unit of Zurkhaneh in Shiraz university ,Mr.Safavi mentioned that with the support and contribution of International Zurkhaneh Sports Federation high-ranking officials and Dignitaries  and President of Zurkhaneh & Pahlevani Sports Board of Fars ,we hope that this gymnasium ( Zurkhaneh) will be ready for use and putting into operation on the stipulated time .

President of Zurkhaneh & Pahlevani Sports Board of Fars Province considered the Sport and Pahlevani ( Heroic ) rituals as share point and subscription of Iranian-Islamic culture emphasizing on the importance of paying attention to this sport and its development and promulgation . Furthermore , by expressing that chivalry , magnanimity and  heroism  ritual is the spirit of this sport ; Mr.Mozaffar Mokhtari said that these characteristics  and  features originated from great character and behavior of the chivalrous and generous personality of the man of the whole world namely his holiness  Imam Ali ( peace be upon him ) and is filled with love manifestation and athletes’ obedience to the leader of all sportsmen and athletes .   

Mokhtari gladly welcomed and received the involvement of great academic and scientific centers such as Shiraz university in the promulgation and development of this sport and mentioned that Pahlavani Sport is a proper environment and condition for promulgating and promoting religious and moral culture in the society and as an authoritative and  creditable  institute , Shiraz University can play a significant role in the path of making influence of this sport on young generation .
