IZSF Public Relations is reporting that  Mohsen Mehralizadeh in a Press Conference set up today with the presence of Foreign Media in Kathmandu , capital of Nepal gave some information about organizing the 1st South Asian Zurkhaneh Sports & Koshti Pahlevani Championships ; In the beginning of this meeting an agreement was signed and concluded between Iran & Nepal for the development and promulgation of Zurkhaneh Sport  between IZSF President and President of Nepal Zurkhaneh Sports & Koshti Pahlevani Federation .
Likewise , in this meeting , by pointing out to development of Zurkhaneh Sport among Asian countries , Mehralizadeh expressed his hopefulness and satisfaction with organizing the 1st Championships in South Asia and added that this championship will provide the proper conditions to develop Zurkhaneh Sports & Koshti Pahlevani in other countries of the region more than ever .
In answering the question raised by Fars News Agency over building and establishing Zurkhaneh in Nepal , Mohsen Mehralizadeh said that in fact the Nepalese counterpart asked us to build and construct a bigger Zurkhaneh and stadium and in the memorandum of understanding we signed today , we accepted their request to present it to Executive Board and like all other countries we will follow up the Iranian-Islamic architectural designs and plans in Nepal . IZSF will help with the technical matters and Nepal municipality and government is responsible for providing the required piece of land and financial resources and budget and they are kindly requested to take all the necessary actions .
IZSF President said about interaction and contacting with different Asian countries specifically South Asian nations that for us the most important activity is to organize Championships and creating administrative structure in continents and various countries and we have educational courses and different championships for the existing continents .
The 1st South Asian Tournament will be held among 8 countries in this region . In order to develop this sport in the primary stages and steps , at first  we will provide the athletes with the required education and training and then will organize the Championships . When entering into a country , a representative of 5 persons will be given to the mentioned country and after membership is finished  , Morshed & Coach will be trained and Federation Executive Board Elections will be organized accordingly.
Mehralizadeh emphasized that Nepal Sport authorities and officials have promised us to upgrade  this sport to second or third position of their national sport .  In this country the 1st national sport is Cricket and 2nd is Football and it is to be mentioned that they have worked hard on Zurkhaneh sport to upgrade it to 2nd or 3rd position or rank .
1st South Asian Zurkhaneh Sports & Koshti Pahlevani Championships will begin tomorrow . It is worth pointing out that 8 countries such as Nepal , India , Afghanistan , Bhutan , Bangladesh , Sri Lanka , Maldives and Pakistan will take part in this tournament .
