According to IZSF public relations department, ahead of the Baku competitions and inclusion of Zurkhaneh Sports in the Islamic Solidarity Games for the first time, to further prepare Afghanistan’s team, which is one of the defendants of championship and a major team in Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani, the IZSF education committee sent Hojjat Rashidzadeh, the prominent coach, and Mehdi Fathi, the well-known murshed, to Afghanistan.

Afghanistan team’s intensive practices attended by the murshed and coach for further preparation began last week and during this period, all the technical issues were reviewed.

During Afghanistan team’s practices, Anwar Jekdalek, IZSF vice-president, visited the camp and met with Hojjat Rashidzadeh and Mehdi Tamavoli.

At this meeting, Mr. Jekdalek stated: “The efforts of the International Federation to promote Zurkhaneh Sports and Koshti Pahlavani must be appreciated. The fact that Zurkhaneh Sports have been include in the Islamic Solidarity Games shows the competence of the officials at this federation and I am sure that in the near future, we will witness the popularity and progress of this sport in the world.
