Gholamreza Takhti was born on the 5th of September 1309 in a middle-class family in the Khani Abad district of Cheshm, Tehran. opened "Rajab Khan" (Takhti's father) had two other sons and two daughters besides him, all of whom were older than Gholamreza. "Haj Qoli", Gholamreza's grandfather, was a grocery seller. According to the words of Rajab Khan, Haj Qoli used to sit on a high throne in his shop, and for this reason, he was called Haj Qoli Takhti among the people of Khani Abad. This name later became their surname. With the money he got from his father's inheritance, Rajab Khan had bought land in the former railway depot and built a natural glacier, and in this way he was providing for the living expenses of his large family. The first event that happened in Gholamreza's childhood and caused a great and unforgettable blow to his soul was that his late father had to mortgage his house to provide for the family. Due to family problems, Shadervan Takhti studied only 9 years in Manochehri Khani-Abad primary and high school and in 1329 he went to Polad Club due to his interest in wrestling and ancient sports. During his sports life, Takhti held the record of participating in the Olympics and winning the most medals from these events. He participated in four Olympics and the result was one gold, two silver and a fourth title. In addition to being a hero, Jahan Pahlavan was well-known for his character and human and moral behavior, and his chivalry and altruism. Shadervan Takhti was also skilled in ancient sports and wrestling, as he became Iran's champion three times and each time he defeated famous wrestlers.
